Upcoming Saturday, the 22nd of April, people all over the world will rally against a rising ignorance towards scientific discoveries. “The March for Science is the first step of a global movement to defend the vital role science plays in our health, safety, economies, and governments.” It is “a celebration of science.  It's not only about scientists and politicians; it is about the very real role that science plays in each of our lives and the need to respect and encourage research that gives us insight into the world.”

Aside from the main march in Washington DC there will be more than 500 Satellite Marches all across the globe. The Dresden march will start at 1:30 pm with a rally at the Theaterplatz (Semperoper). It is widely supported by all major scientific institutions, museums, libraries, and others.
