Application Procedure

We accept applications submitted via our online system within the publicised deadlines. Applications, or parts thereof, submitted by any other mean are not considered.

Account

Request an account for our online application system using an email address that is valid throughout the application process. You will receive access to the online application form immediately.

1st part: Registration

Registration requires personal information and contact details of two referees. We recommend to register early to grant your referees sufficient time for submitting their recommendation.

Your referees should be well in position to judge your research performance. In general, this is your thesis supervisor and a principle investigator. Make sure that they are willing and available to provide their recommendation within the given deadline before submitting your referees’ details.

We will invite your referees via email to submit an online recommendation after you submitted your registration. We will confirm the receipt of a recommendation via email. Please contact your referees directly for clarification if you don’t receive our confirmation in good time.

Make sure to provide correct information since it cannot be changed after registration. You may add up to two additional referees before the registration deadline.

2nd part: Application

Complete all parts of the application form and upload university certificates and transcripts of marks (record of study), documenting your entire university education. For ongoing studies, please provide the latest transcript, respectively a temporary confirmation of the results obtained so far.

Provision of TOEFL or IELTS results and GRE examination results is strongly recommended but not mandatory.

We recommend generating a pdf file of your application to ensure the legibility of uploaded documents and for your reference.

Submission

Completion of the application form and the receipt of two online recommendations before the application deadline is required for submission. Successful submission of your application will be confirmed by email.
