Structure

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is responsible for the statutes of the PhD Program and its implementation. Decision include admission of PhD students and faculty members to the program. The Vice-Deans are the spokespersons of the PhD Programs and responsible for the teaching within the specific program.

Teaching Committees

For each PhD Program, a teaching committee - chaired by the responsible Vice-Dean and consisting of faculty members and students - is formed to implement and review the program-specific training.

Selection Committees

The Selection Committees are formed prior to each selection, and consist of several faculty members. The Selection Committees evaluate the overall qualification of the candidate, and recommend to the Dean whom to admit to the program, including in general the affiliation to a specific PhD program and research group.

Graduation Committees

Within the frame of the DIGS-BB doctorate regulations to be established, each PhD Program forms a Graduation Committee, which will attend and evaluate the disputations of the respective PhD Program.
