Research groups
About seventy internationally recognized research groups participate in the graduate school.
Faculty members affiliated to the TUD are located at the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, the medical campus, the Biotechnological Center (Biotec), the Center of Regenerative Medicine (CRTD), the Medical Theoretical Center (MTZ), or the Max Bergmann Center (MBC).
Faculty members affiliated to non-University institutions are located at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG), the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex System (MPI-PKS), the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF), the Max Bergmann Center (MBC), or the Leibniz Forschungzentrum Dresden Rossendorf (FZ Rossendorf).
Each faculty member has a primary affiliation with one of the DIGS-BB PhD programs, and is entitled to host PhD students participating in any of the DIGS-BB PhD programs.
